Kids meet favourite toons Ludhiana, February 22 Kids, accompanied by their parents, thronged the venue and waved enthusiastically at their favourite cartoon characters, who were performing at the stage. Thousands of children had a blast with their toon stars — Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, Mojo Jojo, Dexter and Dee-Dee — at “Toon Yatra”, a programme organised by Cartoon Network. Apart from creating a memorable ambience, the “Toon Yatra” ensured fun. It captured the Bollywood masti and toon spirit through the network’s own toony medley of music, dance, games and goodies. The event saw kids playing at various game stalls, winning attractive prizes and dancing away with toons to the famous number, “It’s the time to Disco”. Ms Ranjita Menon, spokesperson for Turner India, said the delightful four-city event had already captivated thousands of people in Mumbai and Pune on February 8 and 15, respectively, and would now travel to New Delhi next Sunday. |
