New Delhi, February 2
Rainfall: Rain or snow occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain thundershowers occurred at isolated places in East Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: (past 24 hours change): Minimum temperatures fell in Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: These were appreciably below normal in West Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, Punjab and East Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.2°C recorded at Bikaner (Rajasthan).

Forecast (valid until the morning of February 4): Rain or snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood (valid until the morning of February 4): Mainly clear sky. Chilly winds likely during day time. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi (forecast valid until the morning of February 4): Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.

Chandigarh: Amritsar district recorded yet another cold morning, with the minimum temperature falling to 0.7°C. Ludhiana and Patiala were cold at 5.4°C and 5.6°C, respectively.

Ambala, Hisar, Karnal and Rohtak reported the minimum dipping to 7.6°C, 5.8°C, 5.2°C and 6.4°C, respectively. Chandigarh recorded a minimum of 7.8°C.
