Chandigarh, January 9
Residents of Darshani Bagh, Mani Majra, can breathe easy as the Chandigarh Administration today finally issued a notification, exempting the 35-kanal residential area from acquisition.
Residents of the area had protested against the acquisition of the said land by filing a petition in the high court. It was quashed in August, 1997.
