Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) recorded 1 cm of rainfall. Snowfall report (in cms) Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 6 and Patsio and Solangnala 2 each.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departures: These were above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.7°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 29: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal.
