Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Haryana, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Haryana: Hisar, Karnal, Nilokheri, Thanesar and Tohana 1 each and Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar 3 and Batote 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh , fell in Jammu and Kashmir and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.0°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 17: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.Weather will be mainly dry in east Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 17: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of Rain or thundershowers in some areas. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 13°C.
