Hans Raj topple Salwan Boys

New Delhi, November 24
A half century by Kartikey Bhatia (69) and deadly bowling by Gaurav Jangra (3 for 52) helped Hans Raj Model School topple defending champions Salwan Boys by four runs and entered the final of the H S Sistani Inter-School Cricket Tournament at the Khalsa School ground.

Scores: Hansraj Model School: 238 for 8 in 30 (Kartikey Bhatia 68, Sahil Arora 35, Sachin Gaurav Rathi 32 n o, Rohit Saini 3 for 15).

Salwan Boys: 234 for 9 in 30 overs (Gaurav Chabra 95, Narender Singh 36, Gaurav Jangra 3 for 52).

I G Stadium enter semi-final

Indira Gandhi (IG) Stadium defeated Sumit Dogra Academy by four wickets to enter the semi-final of the C. L. Gupta Memorial Cricket Tournament for the Prem Lata Trophy at the Mohan Meakin stadium.

Scores: Dogra Academy: 195 for 7 in 40 overs (Rameez Niyamat 45, Aditya Aima 36, Mayank Sethi 33, T Anand 3 for 27). I G Stadium: 196 for 6 in 39.3 overs (T Anand 39 n o, Vijay Kumar 30, Jaspreet Narula 30, Mayank Sethi 2 for 32, Manoj Singh 2 for 48).

Delhi Telecom advance

Delhi Telecom defeated York Club by 34 runs in the DDCA A-II Division League at the Yamuna Sports Complex ground.

Scores: Delhi Telecom: 249 for 5 in 40 overs (Sanjeev Kumar 109, Bishan Das 56, Rajender Ahir 42 n o, Narender Deswal 2 for 33, S. K. Sony 2 for 44).

York Club: 215 for 9 in 40 overs (Naveen Kumar 48, Neerj Tyagi 31, S. K. Soni 28, Vineet Kapoor 3 for 17, Sanjeev Kumar 3 for 35).

In another match, Anand Sports beat Alpine Club by 90 runs in an A-II Division match.

Scores: Anand Sports: 213 all out in 37.3 overs (Ayush Sharma 98, 10x4, 3x6; Akash Talwar 34, Manish Adhikari 4 for 33). Alpine Club: 123 all out in 39.1 overs (Joginder Navi 38, Vikas Sharma 2 for 13, Sunil Yadav 2 for 26).

SAR Group win

SAR Group defeated Siemens by seven wickets in the Eventus Cup Cricket Tournament.

Scores: Siemens: 112 for 8 (Pramod Bambani 19, Manish Syal 17, Amresh Pradhan 3 for 11). SAR Group: 113 for 3 in 18.1 overs (Jitender Choudhury 48, Ravi Vaid 34, Pankaj Lamba).

Ritu, Abhigya emerge winners

New Delhi, November 24
Ritu Sejwal of Bloom Public School clocked 36.52 minutes to emerge the winner in the girls section while Abhigya of GNDU posted a time of 32.21 minutes to win the boys event in the 750m swim and 7km run in the Delhi State Aquathlon Championship, organised by the Delhi Triathlon Association, at the Talkatora swimming pool complex.

Priyanka of La Monterry clocked 2.27 minutes to top the girls section while Jasdeep Singh of S S Mota Singh clocked 2.23 minutes to win the boys title in the tiny-tots section in three events—50m swim, 150m cycling and 150m run. A record number of 164 participants, in three age groups, competed in the championship. Senior lawyer of Supreme Court Gopal Subramanium gave away the prizes. The winners were given cash awards. They will represent Delhi in the National Aquathlon Championship to be held in Hyderabad on November 29 and 30. OSR

J D Tytler move into semis

An all-round display by Abhishekh (45 and 3 for 20) helped J D Tytler School beat Tagore International Shool by eight runs and entered the semi-final of the Bhavan Under-12 Cricket Tournament at the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan School ground.

Scores: J D Tytler: 128 for 9 in 30 overs (Abhishek 45, Nayan 2 for 20). Tagore School: 120 (Akshay 40, Abhishek 3 for 20).

Indair beat Tropical

Indair beat Tropical Aargus by four runs in the ACCD Cricket Tournament at the Gargi College ground. Scores: Indair: 126 (Sandeep 28, Bobby 25, Lakshmi 2 for 25, Jai Bhatiya 2 for 19). Tropical Aargus: 122 (Kartik Mangi 28, Bobby 3 for 26, Rajesh Dimpy 3 for 19).

Vinoo Mankad trials

Trials to select the Delhi team for the Vinoo Mankad Cricket Tournament for Under-16 will be held at the Bharat Nagar Sports Complex on Tuesday at 2 pm. Students studying in Class X or below are eligible to participate in the trials.

Subroto Soccer

BSL IV English High School, Bokaro beat Central Public School, Srinagar 10-0, NCC Imphal beat St. Joseph’s English School, Vijapur 9-0 and Govt School, Carnicobar beat Goa State Progress School, Sanqulin 2-0 in the Subroto Cup Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium on Tuesday. OSR
