Language training for Afghan pilotsCareer Zone, a leading professional training institute, has now widened their horizons and is imparting training to pilots from Afghanistan. Career Zone was chosen to be the training institute through some stiff competition by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of Afghanistan. The training is for basic English language apart from the aviation oriented English language and terminology to ready these pilots for a career in the commercial world of civil aviation. The training is part of yet another effort by India to help rebuild the Afghan economy as it re-emerges from the devastation of war and its ravages. As may be recalled, India had, as a goodwill gesture, donated three airbuses, namely Ganga, Godavari and Kaveri, to Afghanistan and also sent Indian pilots for three months so that operations were not affected in Afghanistan due to the absence of pilots and thus the training being sponsored by Ariana Airlines (national airlines of Afghanistan).
