Ms Manisha Jagtap, a teacher from the school, said the dance was performed with an aim to please a goddess. The participants sing a song “Jejuri chya khanderaya, Jagarala ya ho” while dancing. Students from Maharashtra also presented a tribal folk dance ‘Thakkar Nritya’. This dance is normally performed in the evening around a bonfire by people who are out the whole day in the fields doing labour. Mr Karam Singh alleged that the Home Secretary had heard the case on November 5 and adjourned it to the next date of hearing on December 3.
