Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 37.6°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).
Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.
Depature: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).
