Neha Aggarwal bags double crown in TT New Delhi, October 14 Neha Aggarwal will take on Esha Monga, both of Manav Sthali School, in the women’s singles final. Harshit Chand also annexed the boys singles title defeating top seed Sunal Jain 10-12, 12-10, 12-10, 13-15, 8-11, 1-7. Neha Aggarwal won a double crown when she pocketed the junior girls and girls singles titles. Neha beat Esha Monga 11-9, 9-11, 11-6, 11-8, 11-9 in the girls singles final while she got the better of Esha Monga again by 12-10, 11-3, 14-12 in the sub-junior girls final. Other results: Cadet girls final: Esha Monga beat Sanya Sehgal 11-6, 11-9, 11-9. Cadet boys final: Kartik Kukreja b Dipesh Techchandani 5-11, 6-11, 11-6, 11-4, 11-7. Amity to hold sports gala New Delhi, October 14 Students from various Amity institutions will compete in cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, athletics, hockey and squash in the next 20 days. The events will conclude on October 31. In the opening match in basketball, Centre of International Business won the title, defeating Amity School of Insurance, Amity Business School and the Actuarial Sciences. Founder president of Amity institutions Dr Ashok K Chauhan said he was overwhelmed by the tremendous response to the sports meet to celebrate the Founder’s Day. Also present at the inaugural function was president of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation Atul Chauhan. |
Gurgaon, October 14 Eighty schools from Haryana affiliated to CBSE took part in the tournament. About 10,000 participants took part in the event. The Blue Bells, Sr Secondary School, was the runners-up in the overall shield in the boys’ category, DPS Maruti Kunj and GRGN (Sirsa) shared the honours for the runners-up in the overall shield in the girls category.
