Monsoon withdraws from Punjab

New Delhi, September 27
South-west monsoon has further withdrawn from most parts of Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and from the parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Haryana, including Chandigarh and Delhi. The withdrawal line passes through Kalpa, Delhi, Kota, Deesa and Nallia.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: east Rajasthan: Raipur and Sajangarh 2 each and Devgarh 1, west Rajasthan: Pilibanga 1, and east Uttar Pradesh: Rae Bareilly 3 and Lucknow Control Room 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 29: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 29: The south-west monsoon has withdrawn from Delhi. Partly cloudy sky.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No major change.
