1,000 examined at medical camp

Mandi Ahmedgarh, September 21
The Chaura Bazar Welfare Association organised a free medical camp at the local Civil Hospital on Sunday. The camp was inaugurated by Ms Razia Sultana, Legislator from Malerkotla constituency segment. Mr Rajnish Sharma Guddoo, president of the Municipal Council and Mr Sham Sunder, councillor, were the guests of honour.

More than 1,000 persons benefited by getting consultation from doctors from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital regarding heart, skin, bones and other ailments. X-rays, ultra-sound scans, ECG and other diagnostic tests were conducted free of cost and patients were also provided medicines free of cost.

Dr Naved Aslam DM (cardiology), Dr Rajesh Mahajan MD (medicine), Dr Rajinder Mittal MS. M.Ch (plastic surgery) and Dr Sanjeev Mahajan MS (ortho), examined the patients. Municipal Council, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Ahmedgarh and Mini-Chhapar, Journalist Union, Helpline Youth Club and Oil and Cattle Feed Manufacturers Association also extended help to the organising association.

Ms Razia Sultana appreciated the role of social organisations and Municipal Council in organising such camps to help the needy patients. Mr Atma Ram and Tarsem Lal president and press secretary of the association thanked the contributors for making the camp a success.
