Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kalka 2 and Ambala 1, Himachal Pradesh: Bangana and Barsar 5 each and Nahan 3, Jammu and Kashmir: Basoli 3 and Patti 1, Punjab: Shahpurkandi 7, R.S. Dam site 5 and Madhopur and Nangal 1 each, east Rajasthan: Nithuwa and Sabla 6 each, Gangapur city 4, Aspur, Dungarpur and Rajgarh 3 each, Amet, Alwar, Kapasantank, Mosamabad and Piploo 2 each and Bharatpur, Bandikui, Baswa, Bhim, Degod, Devli, Jayal, Lalsot, Malpura, Nagar, Rawatbhata, Sikrai, Sodavas, Tonk and Tordisagar 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Fatehgarh 9, Katerniaghat 8, Bhatpurwaghat, Etawah and Palliakalan 5 each, Balrampur 4, Balmikinagar 3 and Bhinga 2, west Uttar Pradesh: Dabri 4, Jhansi and Sarsawa 3 each and Bareilly and Mohana 2 each and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 13 and Pantnagar and Uttarkashi 4 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 20: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
