Career in real estate There is good news for those wishing to make a career in real estate. While most agents learn the tricks of the trade through practical exposure, it is an advantage to know the nitty gritty of financial appraisals, property laws and brokerage. The National Real Estate Development Council and Human Settlement Management Institute of HUDCO have announced a three-week training and certification course for real estate agents, property brokers and customer care executives and home loan agents associated with banks and housing finance institutions. The eligibility is 10+2 or equivalent and the course is a collaborative initiative to impart specialised knowledge and skills to real estate agents. The participants will receive a license after their training from NARDECO. Commenting on the course, President of NARDECO, Dr Som Datt, said: “It is an endeavour to impart a sound understanding of the real estate sector. The certificate would give the participants a greater acceptability in the market, which is dominated by fly by night operators and unscrupulous practitioners operating in a climate of distrust.”
