Dry weather in west Rajasthan

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Chhachhrauli 6, Masani Barrage 3 and Ambala and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 5, Rajgarh and Shimla 2 each and Ghamroor, Mandi, Nagrotasurian and Sunibhaji 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 2 and Banihal 1, Punjab: Patti 1, East Rajasthan: Keladevi 7, Pachan Bandh 5, Govindgarh, Nadoti and Shahpura 4 each, Atru, Bassi, Khanpur, Kotputli, Kotkasim, Neemrana and Sapotra 3 each, Bari, Bairot, Jaipur A.P., Ramgarh, Sanganer and Thanagaji 2 each and Chaksu, Dholpur, Indergarh, Pilani, Roopwas and Tizara 1 each, East Uttar Pradesh: Chillaghat 17, Chandradeepghat 15, Dalmau and Neemsar 13 each, Bhatpurwaghat and Kanpur 11 each, Bani 9, Lucknow A.P. 8, Basti 7, Allahabad, Mukhlishpur and Regoli 6 each, Balrampur 5, Ankinghat, Chhatnag and Elginbridge 4 each, Ayodhya, Fatehgarh, Hanumansetu and Varanasi A.P. 3 each, Kakrahi, Katerniaghat and Sultanpur 2 each and Gorakhpur 1, West Uttar Pradesh: Jhansi 11, Muzzaffarnagar 8, Hindon 7, Dabri 3, Agra, Hamirpur and Shahjina 2 each and Kalpi and Mohana 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehradun, Hardwar, Haripur and Uttarkashi 3 each, Rudraprayag 2 and Banbasa, Joshimath and Marora 1 each.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely in Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 8: Mainly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of September 8: Light to moderate rain will occur at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall likely.
