Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at most places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in west Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Kalka 4; Himachal Pradesh: Nadaun 15, Ghamroor 8, Guler 7, Kahu and Nagrotasurian 6 each, Sujanpur Tira 4, Dhaundhi 3, Kasol and Sundernagar 2 each and Kasauli and Solangnala 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Jammu 10, Pahalgam 3 and Batote and Quazigund 1 each; Punjab: Nangal 7, east Uttar Pradesh: Khadda 7, Basti and Birdghat 6 each, Balrampur, Chandradeepghat, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Palliakalan 3 each, Ayodhya, Auraiya, Ballia, Shardanagar, Turtipar and Varanasi A.P. 2 each and Bani, Kakrahi, Kakardharighat, Katerniaghat, Lucknow A.P., Neemsar and Regoli 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Sarsawa 5 and Mohana 3; and Uttaranchal: Pithoragarh 8, Mukteshwar and Pantnagar 6 each, Bageshwar, Marora, Rishikesh and Uttarkashi 4 each, Banbasa, Dehra Dun, Haripur and Nainital 3 each, Almora and Joshimath 2 each and Hardwar, Rudraprayag and Tehri 1 each.
