The newly developed lush green lawns at the historical Red Fort caught the attention of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee during his address to the nation and he took the opportunity to suggest that it be named ‘15 August Garden’.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Mr L K Advani, today joined the students of G D Goenka School in a unique Independence Day celebrations. A 419-metre-long towel, weighing over 500 kg and claimed to be the longest, was unveiled here today by Mr Advani. The towel has been spun in the National Tricolour and is expected to find its way into the Limca Book of Records.
