RAINFALL: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Rajasthan, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Faridabad 5, Sonepat 4, Kharkhoda 3 and Jind, Kalka and Pehowa 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar and Sandhole 6 each, Sujanpurtira 4 and Khairi, Pandoh and Rampurbushar 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Bhoond 4 and Basoli 1, Punjab: Ludhiana 3 and Moga, Nangal, Ropar and Shahpur Kandi 1 each, east Rajasthan: Jayal, Nawalgarh and Tatgarh 4 each, Buhana, Didwana and Veja 3 each and Deval and Nagar 2 each, west Rajasthan: Sriganganagar 2 and Barmer 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Bani and Bhatpurwaghat 4 each, Chillaghat, Hanumansetu and Lucknow 2 each and Kakrahi 1, west Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 4 and Uttaranchal: Joshimath 5, Hardwar and Uttarkashi 4 each and Dehradun 2.
