Doctors reject offer on chamber practice
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, August 3
The faculty members of the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital have rejected the proposal of the management to introduce chamber practice and ban private practice at home. The members met yesterday to discuss the proposal of the management and decided that status quo should be maintained.

According to a spokesman for the faculty, majority of members rejected the chamber practice proposal.

The faculty alleged that the management had not formulated a regular promotion policy as was being done in other government institutions and demanded that a promotion policy be framed.

They also sought the appointment of a principal from among the college faculty.

The faculty also demanded a staff seat in the management. The faculty criticised the state government for abolishing the NRI quota of seats for admission to the MBBS course and urged the state government to restore the same.
