Tasting thrill of dancing in the rain
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, July 27
The ‘Rain Dance’ party organised at Magnet Resort last night set the pool of the resort on fire as more than 1000 enthusiasts danced to the creative remixes as ‘rain’ drops drenched them. Young men, women, elderly couples and kids all got into the spirit of the evening and danced to their hearts’ fill. Inspired by the song 'saun di jhari', the young and the old alike tapped their feet.

With the rain gods not obliging the ‘rain’ effect was provided by a number of sprinklers set up around the pool. The artificial showers, however, appeared almost like real showers.

The crowd danced to the tunes of DJ Tnu from Delhi in the beginning. DJ Lady G was supposed to play too, but she could not reach for some reason.

DJ Bhanu of Studio 69 rocked the crowd with his hot remixes. His varied music kept the crowd on its toes throughout.

Mr Vijay Singhania, a regular party goer, said," It was a fantastic party, and well arranged . The music was mind blowing. The best part of the party was that it ended at the right time. There were no fights and people went back happily."

Mr Navin, another party freak who comes from Ferozepore to attend dance parties, said," For the first time I saw that each and every person was involved in the party. The music had both Hindi and Punjabi popular numbers’’.

Another party freak Sunny Sandhu says," My sisters had come from London and they were really thrilled at the changes that had taken place in the city. Rain Dance was a pleasant surprise for them and they really enjoyed it."

His wife Jugnu said," We had taken change of clothes for the children . After they had their fill of dancing and getting wet, we changed their clothes. It was good fun as it took away the monotony of humdrum life. I enjoyed the rain dance . It revived me. I am really ready to face the heat again."
