Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Ambala and Masani Barrage 3 each and Bhiwani, Thanesar and Tajewala 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Paonta 6, Dharamsala 3, Arki, Berthin, Baijnath, Nadaun and Nahan 2 each and Bangana, Kangra, Rajgarh and Sangrah 1 each; Punjab: Patiala 4, east Rajasthan: Vejan 4, Arnod, Ghatol and Kharidam 3 each, Sabala 2 and Aspur, Gambhiri, Jaisamand, Pratapgarh, Rishabhdev and Sagwara 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Ballia, Chandradeepghat and Mirzapur 5 each, Sultanpur and Varanasi A.P. 4 each and Ayodhya, Bhatpurwaghat, Kanpur and Turtipar 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Agra and Bareilly 2 each; and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 10, Banbasa 3, Hardwar and Rudraprayag 2 each and Pantnagar 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 28: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.
