DMC employees hold protest rally
Our Correspondent

Ludhiana, July 13
The DMC and Hospital Employees Union organised a protest rally to mark ”black day” here today.
The members wore black badges and raised slogans against the management. They said it was on this day last year that they were lathi-charged by the police for holding a peaceful protest. They said that after the month-long protest last year, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) had been signed by the management but none of the demands raised at that time had been fulfilled till date.

Ms Amarjit Jakhon, a union leader, said that it had also been promised by the management that all cases registered against the employees would be withdrawn but this demand too had been left unfulfilled. She said that if the management continues to overlook their demands in the same fashion, they would once again be forced to initiate a protest.
