Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

The chief amount of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Kalka 4, Tajewala 3 and Ambala, Chandigarh, Karnal, Nilokheri, Panchkula, Rewari and Thanesar 1 each, Himachal Pradesh: Kahu 3, Bangana and Barsar 2 each and Ghamroor and Nagrotasurian 1 each. Punjab: Nangal 7, Malerkotla 4, Patiala 3, Balachaur, Dhuri, Ropar and Samrala 2 each and Halwara 1, East Rajasthan: Udaipur 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi A.P. 8, Birdghat and Palliakalan 6 each, Bhinga and Gorakhpur 5 each, Shardanagar 4, Ayodhya, Chhatnag, Chanderdeepghat, Jaunpur, Katerniaghat and Turtipar 3 each, Allahabad and Basti 2 each and Dalmau, Kakardharighat and Sultanpur 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Fatehgarh 6 and Dabri 5 and Uttaranchal: Banbasa 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab, rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were normal over the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.3°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 25: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during next 48 hours.
