25 Integrated Medicine Clinics soon

Ritnand Balved Medical Foundation is going to start 25 Integrated Medicine Clinics (INMED) in the Capital.

Speaking at the free diabetes camp on Sunday in Defence Colony area, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital Sr Consultant Physician and Diabetologist Dr M S Chaudhary said that INMED was the first clinic in Delhi that provides Allopathic, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic consultation under one roof.

The first such clinic was opened at E-25 Defence Colony and “patients are highly satisfied with the concept of Integrated Clinics as they can choose or combine remedies available to them,” Dr Chaudhary said.

On the free diabetic camp, he said that more than 180 patients were analysed at the camp. Those patients suspected of diabetes were provided free consultation, free medicines and dietary advice by specialists. A film was also shown at the camp.

Dr Chaudhary, who is Sr Consultant at Gangaram Hospital also, advised the patients about eating habits, care for eyes and feet.

Besides leading Ayurvedic and Allopathic companies like BACFO Pharmaceuticals Limited, HEALTHEON and NOVO NORDISK participated in the camp and distributed medicines. Panacea has agreed to provide online consultation to the patients of INMED Clinic, Dr Chaudhary said.

FCI complete semi-final line-up in DSA League

Defending champions Food Corporation of India (North Zone) beat Zakir Hussain College 2-0 in a Group A match of the Delhi Soccer Association Institutional League to complete the semi-final lineup at the Ambedkar Stadium on Tuesday. FCI will clash against Delhi Audit in the semi-final. Inside-right Trilok Singh Bisht scored both the goals in the 30th and 40th minutes.

Earlier, in a Group A match of A Division, Delhi Development Authority (DDA) trounced Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) 3-0 to enter the semi-final. DDA will take on Delhi Administration in the semi-final on June 20.

H S Negi opened DDA’s scoring in the sixth minute, while Rajan and Ram Avatar accounted for the second and third goal at the fag end of the match. All India Institute of Medical Sciences will meet Reserve Bank of India in the first semi-final of A Division on Thursday at 3.30 p m. Northern Railway will take on Zakir Hussain College in the Senior Division semi-final at 4.45 p m.

Open Clubs League

The DSA B and A Division Open Clubs League will be held from June 25 at the Ambedkar Stadium and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The B Division League will be held first, followed by the A Division League. Twenty teams will vie for honours in B Division and 23 teams will battle it out in A Division.

Sub-Jr National Aquatics

New Delhi, June 17
Over 400 swimmers, representing 24 states, will participate in the 20th Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championship, sponsored by Ayur, to be held at the Talkatora Swimming pool from June 19 to 22.

The events will be held in age groups III (11-12 years) and IV (9-10 years).

The Sub-Junior Nationals will be followed by the 30th Junior National Aquatic Championship, which will be held from June 24 to 28. More than 600 swimmers, including water polo players, are expected to participate in the Junior Nationals.

The junior events will be held in the 13-14 and 15-17 age groups.

Organising secretary, Raj Kumar, said the selection of the Indian team for the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship will be made on the basis of the performances of the swimmers in the sub-junior and junior nationals.

The Asian Championship will be held at Macau (China) from August 23 to 28.

Himansh, Ekta retain TT titles

Reigning champions Himansh P Kala of Central Bank of India and Ekta Bhambri of Central Warehousing Corporation retained the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively in the 41st Summer Open Table Tennis Tournament at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium. Himansh Kala prevailed over Nitin Mahajan of Food Corporation of India 11-5, 11-7, 4-11, 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-7 while Ekta Bhambri outplayed Shikha Sharma 14-12, 11-4, 11-5, 4-11, 11-4.

Delhi Table Tennis Association president, N S Gujral, who is also the chairman and managing director of Punjab and Sind Bank, gave away the prizes.

Prize Money TT

The inaugural Delhi Cup Rs 25,000 Prize Money Table Tennis Tournament will be held at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium on June 28 and 29. Only 16 ranked players will be allowed to participate in the tournament, which will be conducted on a league-cum-knockout basis. Entries close on June 20 at 6/2543, Beadon Pura, Karol Bagh, New Delhi.

Manan Sharma, Sahil Kher hit tons for Sonnet Club

New Delhi, June 17
Manan Sharma (173, 31x4) and Sahil Kher (102, 17x4) hit centuries to help Sonnet Club draw with Lal Bahadur Shastri Club in the two-day second Gyan Bharati Under-13 Cricket Tournament at the Venkateshwara College ground. Sonnet earned 12 and Shastri collected five points.

Scores: Sonnet Club (1st innings): 228 for 7 in 53 overs (Mohit Vanjani 72, Sahil Kher 60, Akash Pawar 56, Keshav

Saini 2 for 28, Saurabh Arora 3 for 70). Second innings: 382 for 5 in 63 overs (Manan Sharma 173, Sahil Kher 102, Gaurav Dahiya 43, Sagar Dahiya 2 for 66, Saurabh Arora 2 for 59).

Shastri Club: 211 all out in 66.2 overs (Siddarth Sharma 57, Sagar Dahiya 51, Gaurav Dahiya 5 for 76, Manav Sharma 4 for 64).

Bharat National Academy defeated Airport Authority Colts by 149 runs in the first Turf Youth Cup Under-15 Cricket Tournament at the Airport Authority ground.

Scores: Bharat National Academy: 234 for 4 in 30 overs (Sameer Khurana 102, Abhishek Kapoor 36, Varun Balli 62, Rohit Tanwar 2 for 19).
