Another VB raid on Wimpy’s office

Chandigarh, June 17
Punjab Vigilance Bureau officials conducted yet another raid on the offices of Wimpy International, New Delhi, in Kailash colony this morning.

A large number of valuable and original documents pertaining to the company, including 50 files, log books, original registration certificates of vehicles of the company and three computer CPUs of the company were seized. A complaint in this regard was sent by the Senior Vice-President, Wimpy International, Mr R.K Gosain, to the Deputy Commissioner (South), New Delhi, today.

Copies of the same were made available by Mr Mohinder Singh Dhillon, brother of Mr Narottam Singh Dhillon, nephew of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, to mediapersons here today.

Mr Gosain pointed out that the Punjab Police had brought with them Mr Gupta, Director (Finance), Mr Sanjeev Kulshrestha, Deputy Manager (Finance) and Mr Yashpal Dhawan, Vice-President of the company, who had been remanded in the police custody till tomorrow.

It is alleged that the Punjab police officials were not accompanied by any official of the Delhi police. They did not produce any search warrants and forcibly conducted the search in the office of the company. They allegedly threatened the employees of the company and forcibly broke open the locks of the office drawers.
