200 students take part in summer camp

Ludhiana, June 13
A week-long summer camp for the students of Everest Public Senior Secondary School, Moti Nagar, began here today.
The camp has been divided into junior and senior wings. As many as 200 students are taking part in it where courses in communication skills, linguistic development and fluency, yoga, sports, martial arts, western and classical dance, painting and craft are being imparted.

Dr Inderpal Singh, former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, inaugurated the camp.

Mr Rajinder Sharma, Principal, said development of the overall personality of the children was the prime objective of the camp.

He said stress would also be laid on improving the communication skills and leadership qualities. He said that the camp would conclude on June 20.

Naresh Kumar Sharma, yoga trainer from Yoga Partishthan, Chandigarh, said yoga was gaining popularity in western countries.

Rajwinder Singh, judo trainer, talked about various forms of martial arts and their popularity among the students.
