Heat wave conditions are prevailing in parts of Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan.Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana:Guhla and Panipat 1 each, Himachal Pradesh:Shimla 1 and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 3 and Dehra Dun 1 .

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in west Rajasthan and below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.5°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 16: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in north Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in south Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 16: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 39°C.
