Woman constable paraded naked

Srinagar, April 15
A woman constable was paraded naked in this city by her colleagues after she was allegedly caught in the company of four paramours in an abandoned house here.

Police officials said an inquiry headed by a Senior Superintendent of Police had been ordered into the incident that took place on Monday afternoon. They promised strict action against the guilty.

A witness said: “Even paramilitary personnel on duty in the city roads turned heads the other way. It was a downright shame and nobody of normal mind can imagine doing such a thing. IANS

PTI adds: The Station House Officer of Kralakhud police station here was transferred today to the Police Lines allegedly for parading naked a woman constable, official sources said.

All five persons were arrested and she was sent to a hospital for medical examinations.
