Tribune News Service

Ludhiana, March 28
In the absence of a playground, students of Government Senior Secondary School, Model Town, and the Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Model Town, had to take their physical education test in the municipal park.

About 150 students of class X took the test in various events in the public park as their schools did not have any playground. The Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Mrs Maninder Kaur, said since her school had no playground, the tests had to be conducted in the public park.

Asked how the students prepared for the tests in the absence of any playground, most students said they practised in other playgrounds.

The students claimed that they were being trained at different places, including public parks, and they had no difficulty in taking the tests. The examiners said they ensured that all minimum standards were met.
