Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Bhang and Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) each recorded 1 cm of precipitation. Snowfall report in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 25 and Solangnala 2.

Temperatures: past 24 hours change: maximum temperatures changed little.

Departure: They were above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.6°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10°C recorded at Ludhiana.

Forecast valid until the morning of March 20: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 20: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 32°C and 17°C, respectively.
