Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 3°C recorded at Halwara (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 9: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 9: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development and light rain in some areas. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 8°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of February 9: Light rain is likely at a few places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
