Special Valentine’s home décor from Maspar
Special Valentine’s home décor from Maspar.

Tastes define décor that was what we believed until we were told a person’s sun sign is just as crucial in deciding the look for your dream house. Sample this; A Virgo is very fussy about all furniture at home from the small side table to the large dining table. They would not want a room cluttered with furniture, but a clean mix of fancy and solid pieces. However, while some of the furniture they choose looks very good, some of it is not that useful around the house. They will be good at furnishing the drawing room but may not do so well in the bedroom.

Makers and manufacturers of high-end furniture Durian have come up with the latest finding that sun signs are elementary to choosing the décor. The company has taken on the task of telling you how your sun sign determines your taste in home décor and how to dress your home to address your personality, which is what sun signs say.

So, if you put together an assorted variety of furniture to produce a harmonious whole, you are likely to be a Pisces. A Capricorn prefers furniture that is sleek and elegant, while a Libra has the sharpest and best eye for furniture. Wonder what the astrologers have to say about this!

Meanwhile, with Valentine’s round the corner, the focus is not just on roses and chocolates and the usual romantic fare, we have moved on to where the mushy ambit envelops the homes as well. Maspar, a store offering furnishings, has come up with an exclusive line for the Valentine’s Day.

The range includes cushions with rose prints and shaped like a heart, bedspreads and duvets in soft colours and even a range for the kitchen. Lest the concept were to leave you baffled, the CEO of Mapsar, Rajesh Mahajan offers, “the central theme of love and companionship in our Valentine range makes it ideal for the special occasion.”

For your skin

Bi: Add a shine to the complexion.

Vichy, a French hill station, recognised by the medical community for the therapeutic benefits of its Thermal Spa Water, was inspiration enough for Loreal to manufacture a category of ‘Dermocosmetics’ by the same name.

These are products the company claims are often prescribed and recommended by doctors. Considering that the Indian skin is prone to pigmentation, the company is offering Bi - White for the domestic market.

The product is claimed to be an intensive whitening corrective care formula that addresses pigmentation disorders. The product’s formula combines the whitening elements of Kojic acid and pure Vitamin C to reduce brown spots and clarify the complexion.

Kojic acid and pure Vitamin C act together to inhibit the enzyme responsible for the production of melanin and eventually fade out brown spots. The exfoliating properties of Pure Vitamin C induce the natural elimination of melanin filled dead cells at the skin’s surface and add a shine to the complexion.

What’s more the company has deputed specialists to take care of the skin care needs of customers. These experts will offer advice and recommend the correct products to the customers.
