Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Snowfall report (cm): Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 9, Patsio 2 and Solangnala 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.2° C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 1: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh.
