Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolatd places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana and Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Patsio (Himachal Pradesh) recorded 1 cm. of snowfall.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, rose appreciably in east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little in Uttaranchal. Departure: They were largely above normal in Rajasthan, markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in Haryana and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

Lowest temperature in the plains was 6.2°C recorded at Ambala (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 29: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal.

Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Punjab and Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 29: Mainly cloudy sky with possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas. Minimum temperature will be around 8°C.
