Cold wave continues unabated

New Delhi, January 15
Cold wave conditions prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and in parts of east Rajasthan are likely to abate during the next 48 hours. Cold day conditions are prevailing in parts of Haryana, including Chandigarh.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.5°C recorded at Hisar and Bathinda.

Forecast valid until the morning of 17th: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather wil be dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of 17th: Mainly clear sky. Fog in the morning. Minmimum temperature will be around 6°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of 17th: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Not much change likely.
