Docs get anticipatory bail

Amritsar, January 15
A local court today stayed the arrest of four doctors and the superintendent of Kakkar hospital besides the District Civil Surgeon till January 22 in the kidney scandal case which is under investigation by the Special Investigation Team.

Among the doctors whose arrest was stayed by Additional Sessions Judge K.C. Puri are Dr P.K. Jain and Dr Bhupinder Singh, for whom the police had procured arrest warrants on Monday. The others who had applied for pre-arrest bail and their arrest was stayed are Dr Bhushan Kumar, Dr Rajinder Kaur and Hardayal Mehta, Superintendent of Kakkar Hospital, besides Dr K.K. Sharma, Civil Surgeon. OC and UNI
