blockade by farmers at Kharar yesterday, the Punjab Government has got
only a temporary relief. There is a lot of resentment among farmers
against the state government. And they are in a mood to launch another
phase of agitation against the government.

The Punjab Government today
announced sops for Punjabi NRIs, including assurance for establishing
fast-track courts to deal with their property dispute cases, matching
government grant for village development projects by NRIs, at the
annual convention of the NRI Sabha, Punjab, at Lyallpur Khalsa College
here.

killed, 39 hurt in road mishap

One person was killed and 39 were
