Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Uttar Pradesh, rose in Punjab and changed a little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Punjab and Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was minus 1.1°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 13: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan during the next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 13: Clear sky. Fog till forenoon. Cold day. Minimum temperature will be around 4°C.
