Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: past 24 hours

Change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 5.20C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 29: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places n Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 29: Mainly clear sky. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 70C.
