Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms are: Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal 2 and Batote 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departures: These were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 5°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 22: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 22: Mainly clear sky. Fog/Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 10°C.
