Easy win for Khalsa College in Rajiv Gandhi cricket

New Delhi, December 20
The Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by the NSUI, Delhi, was inaugurated by Mr Oscar Fernandes, (General secretary, AICC) and Mr Jagdish Titler (former union minister) at Khalsa College ground. In the opening match between Khalsa College and DAV College, Khalsa defeated PGDAV by 6 wickets.

Khalsa College won the toss and invited DAV to bat first. Khalsa boys were able to limit PGDAV to just 93 runs. Manjeet of PGDAV scored 23 runs. Kuldeep of Khalsa destroyed the DAV inning by claiming 3 wickets for just 9 runs. Batting against a small total, Ashwani Katyal of Khalsa scored 35 runs and Khalsa College was able to achieve their target of 94 runs in just 22 overs.

Among those present on the occasion were Mr Harun Yusuf (Minister, Government of Delhi) Mr Nathu Ram Nagar (Chairman, Civil Line Zone) Mr Anil Choudhary, president, Delhi State NSUI and Mr Kapil Nagar, EC, Delhi University.

Ekta Club prevail over Ravi Brothers in DDCA league

New Delhi: Ekta Cricket Club beat Ravi Brothers by six runs in DDCA A-II Division.

Scores: Ekta Cricket Club: 260 in 40 overs (Azam Veer Nagar 87 n.o, Pradeep Deswal 4 for 2).

Ravi Brothers: 254 all out in 39.5 overs (Mohit Kaushal 87, Shalabh Gupta 45, Gurpreet Singh 4 for 8).

Rajdhani beaten

Universal beat Rajdhani Club by 5 wickets in A-II Division at YSC II ground.

Scores: Rajdhani: 102 all out in 22.2 overs (Shan Ali 23, Ravi Prakash 3 for 7, Harish Rawat 3 for 26, Anil Garia 3 for 27).

Universal: 103 for five in 23 overs (Ashwani Tyagi 28 n.o, Mohd Naved 3 for 28). OSR
