Rainfall: weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 7.5°C recorded at Rohtak (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 18: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 18: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
