Our Correspondent

Khanna, November 22
The Khanna Municipal Council has given a local poultry-farm owner two days to shift the farm out of a residential area. The action has been taken on a complaint of a person of Model Town on the Samrala road.

In his complaint to the Municipal Council and the Punjab Pollution Control Board at Patiala, he had said that the poultry farm of a man called Harnek Singh, located in a residential area, was causing inconvenience to inhabitants of the area. The farm had created an epidemic scare and a complaint in this regard had also been lodged with the Subdivisional Officer of Khanna.
