Epilepsy camp

Ludhiana, November 17
At least one person in hundred has epilepsy, but lack of awareness and superstition about the disease doubles the sufferings of epileptics in our society.

This was stated by Dr Gagandeep Singh of Department of Neurology, DMCH. He said to create awareness among patients of epilepsy, the department was organising an epilepsy camp on November 18 at the neurology OPD in the medical OPD complex to observe World Epilepsy Day, which falls on November 17.

GNP School girls shine

Ludhiana, November 17
GGN School, Rose Garden garnered 59 points and GNP School, Sarabha Nagar secured 56 points to win overall trophies in the girl’s and boys’ sections, respectively, in the XIth Ludhiana Sahodya School Athletics Meet at BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, here today.

In the girls’ section, Guru Hargobind Public School, Sidhwan Khurd collected 42 points to finish runner-up while hosts BCM School with 10 points got the third position. In the boys’ section, BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, get 38 points to got the second spot while the third position was won by GNP School, Mullanpur, which got 20 points.

Gurpreet Singh of Sacred Heart School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar , Samsher Singh of GNP School, Mullanpur and Raminder Singh (GNP School, Sarabha Nagar) along with Anmol Singh (GNP School, Mullanpur) were adjudged best athletes in u-14, u-16 and u-19 years age groups respectively.

In the girl’s section, Tamanpreet Kaur (GNP School, Sarabha Nagar) and Jagmeet Kaur (GGN School, Civil Lines) were declared best athletes in u-16 and u-19 years category.
