Lively show by foreign students

A myriad of different cultures joined hands in a most spectacular fashion as different segments of foreign students residing in the city put up a show the at Tagore Theatre this evening. The occasion was to celebrate ‘The International Students Day’, a day dedicated to the memory of Maulana Abul Kalam
Azad, the founder of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

‘Mahi Mereya’ released

To lip sync is to kill the art of singing. This was stated by film producer Ajit Sailani after releasing Punjabi pop songs cassette ‘Mahi Mereya’, at a press conference held here today.

A protagonist of classical music

Rupande Shah is all for promoting classical music among the younger generation. A renowned vocalist herself with ‘taalim’ of different gharanas to back up her talent, she does not believe in limiting her talent on just to herself but disseminating the knowledge she has accumulated from several gurus through her Saptak School of Music in Ahmedabad with a trust fund which takes care of the needs of poor talented children.

Sex education for adolescents stressed

To be introduced in 10 city schools, the Apollo Child Scan plans to eliminate “lifestyle-related medical and health risks faced by today’s stressed child in a highly competitive world. Kidney removed using advanced laparoscopy
Chandigarh, November 11
Taking another step forward towards its growth, GMCH-32, here, has carried out a new technique in the surgery of the kidney. Using the keyhole procedure of surgery that does not require a big incision on the stomach, doctors from the Surgery Department have successfully carried out Advanced Laparoscopy to remove an infected and dead kidney from a 45-year-old woman from Himachal Pradesh.
