Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in west Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 11.8°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of November 5: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of November 5, 2002: Mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards evening/night with possibility of thundery development in some areas. Minimum temperature will be around 16°C.
