Shastri
Club drub Collegians New Delhi, October 20 Championship at Ambedkar Stadium on Sunday. After a barren first half, Shastri Club opened the account through Amit Gurang in the 37th minute when he headed home, off a cross from inside left Michel from the left flank. Substitute Migma, who replaced Ram Singh, scored the second goal in the 41st minute, off a solo effort. Shastri striker Zulfikar Ahmed and Collegians’ Mumtagull were shown the yellow card by referee Julius Ceaser for rough play. Raisina Sports muffed umpteen chances before settling for a 1-0 victory against Hans Club. Inside-right Praduth Jana scored the match-winner in the 15th minute following a goal-mouth melee. But forwards Sameer Singh, Jana himself and Arun Rakshit were guilty of muffing at least half a dozen chances. Praduth Jana and Ved Prakash of Raisina received the yellow-card treatment for intemperate behaviour. Rohini Club were held to a 1-1 draw by Panchkuian in a B Division match at the Nehru Stadium East ground.
