The highest temperature in the region was 40.4°C recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan). Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, above normal in Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 16.4°C recorded at Ludhiana (Punjab).
