Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 42.2°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan, below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 15°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh). 

Forecast valid until the morning of October 6: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 6: Clear Sky. Maximum and Minimum temperatures will be around 36°C and 20°C respectively. Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of October 6: Sky will be clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
