Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in east Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: New Delhi (Palam) 1, Himachal Pradesh: Shimla 4, Sunibhajji 3 and Rohru 2, Jammu and Kashmir: Pahalgam 1, east Rajasthan: Moralsagar 3 and Bamanwas, Baran and Chaksu 1 each, east Uttar Pradesh: Kanpur 7, Ghazipur 5, Birdghat, Chhatnag and Turtipar 3 each, Basti, Mirzapur and Mukhlispur 2 each, Chandradeepghat, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur and Varanasi AP 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh; Dabri 4 and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 3, Mukteshwar and Pantnagar 2 each and Hardwar and Joshimath 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of September 12: Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.
